How to Sell Any Book

My marketing plan and structure for any book in any genre.

In my 5+ years of book marketing, I’ve learned some tricks that will help sell any book. There are also a few questions you should ask if your book isn’t selling, but we’ll get to those in a moment.

Regardless of whether you wrote a book for kids, teens, or adults, regardless of whether your book is fiction or nonfiction, and regardless of when your book released, there are things you can do to help your sales.

Every book needs 3 components to sell well:

  1. Visibility: How many eyes have seen your book?
  2. Availability: Is your book easy to purchase?
  3. Intrigue: How interesting will the average person find your book?

Every piece of book marketing falls into one of those three categories, and when your marketing plan is working together, all three of those pieces are in play.

So if your book isn’t selling, ask those questions and then work to improve your answers.

Now for the good stuff–my plan to address those questions and help you improve your marketing for any book.

When you’re looking to sell your book, keep these things in mind, and run things concurrently. It should feel like everything is happening at once. That is a good thing, that means you successfully got the word out and are making a lot of noise in the right way. Just don’t forget to follow up with the people who heard from you so that they will take action on your book.
