Jori (J. J.) Hanna is a writer and marketer from Denver, Colorado. She graduated Taylor University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Writing, and loves the book industry immensely. She dabbled in many roles before landing on marketing as her main love, having spent time as a Literary Agent, Acquisitions Editor, Developmental Editor, Cover Designer, Social Media Manager, Publicist, and now works as the Director of Author and Public Relations at Light Messages Publishing and Torchflame Books.
Her friends routinely refer to her as a “Jill of all Trades” when it comes to the book industry. This wide experience across all branches of the industry also traversed genres, giving her hands on expertise in Nonfiction (specifically Memoir, Business, and Educational) and Fiction (Thriller, Mystery, Historical, YA, Religious, and General Contemporary).
She is passionate about helping others reach their full potential through writing, design, online marketing, and platform development. She has worked with authors to help them bring their self-published books to the world through KDP and is also familiar with Ingram’s book distribution opportunities.
In her free time you can find her baking, playing a video game, reading a new thriller, or drinking coffee. She loves anything that will give her an adrenaline rush, and is always looking for her next great read.
